Hidersine Hiderpaste Peg Paste Review

(More customer reviews)After moving from a slightly humid climate to a very, very dry climate, the pegs in my cello shrank, and the silly thing wouldn't stay in tune. Literally, I would turn the pegs to tune the strings and they wouldn't even try to stay in place. In less than a second, I was out of tune again, making my cello unplayable. I bought this peg paste/peg glue, ran it over the ends of each of the pegs, and it worked like a charm! My cello is playable again!
The "paste" is actually like a small wax disc inside the tin. You just take the disc out of the tin and make a few marks down the sides of the pegs with the side of the disc. Then wrap your string on your peg as usual and you're ready to go.

Becker BB1 Violin Bridge 4/4 Review

(More customer reviews)This is a typical maple 4/4 violin bridge. Mine actually showed up with a ding on the top edge. I just lowered the action a little by sanding down that edge and the nick was removed, but still . . . I wasn't happy being sold damaged goods. The inside scroll work looks good and the edges are crisp: I don't have any complaints otherwise.
This definitely isn't a drop in replacement. You will have to sand the feet to sit flatly against your sounding board since every violin is different. You'll also need to bevel the top edge and notch it to hold the strings. Do an internet search for how to fit a violin bridge and you should be able to do it yourself. The only supplies you need are a sheet of 220 grit sandpaper and razor blade / tiny file (to cut the notches).
I say 4 stars instead of 5 because of the minor top edge damage.

Later I found out you only need about one drop for the whole body. It lasted me (including when I used to use overkill amount) one year using it usually once a week and I still have some left. OK, first I'm going to complain then I shall compliment. First off I didn't get the red cloth that is shown above; second, I didn't get a pretty light blue chin cushion (I got a gray ugly one instead); third, I received a thing of dark rosin instead of the light one shown above (dark rosin is for colder climates not for warmer climates, light is for warmer climates like where I...I...I am!). I received the promised pouch, yellow soft cloth, peg grip drops, polish, duster, and that metal thing. Compliments, eh, I might tell those one day the only compliments I have for this so far is it's useful, but not what I (emphasizes the I) wanted or was expecting!

Neither kid is terribly artsy or in to material things, but they seem to "get" that we wanted to give them a little something special and I think they'll try to keep these throughout their lives. The burling is very pretty and the box is well-finished. None of us here can provide expert comment on the rosin, but it does seem to work just fine on their student-level instruments.

least twice a day. I wore out the pegs on my student violin with frequent change
of strings that wore out, so I felt the peg drops would be a good investment for
the care of my new orchesta violin.
What I like the best about the drops is while my new violin is "settling" there isn't
