(More customer reviews)When I ordered a Bobelock Half Moon 4/4 violin case for my 11 year old son for his Christmas present, I decided to order this backpack style v-strap, as well. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the quality of this v-strap turned out to be higher than what I was expecting. The shiny silver metal snap ends are of very sturdy quality while good looking. They look to last a very long time, probably decades. The straps are also well padded for shoulder comfort while adjustable for length to suit different bodies. For the price I'm very happy. Since my 13 year old violist son has an inferior quality v-strap that came with his new viola case from a different brand (also for his Christmas present), I'm going to order another one soon.

(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful case. It's extremely light and small enough to travel without worries of overhead bin space. The accessory compartment inside is big enough for rosin, cloth, and other small items but your shoulder rest will have to go elsewhere. Also, since the case is shaped and not crescent or oblong there is no outside pocket for music, pencils, etc.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a great, no-nonsense case this is the way to go. If you want a bit of storage space, you should try a different model.

Concord DeLite Violin Case 4/4 Review

(More customer reviews)This Concord violin case is the best one i've ever owned. I seem to switch cases about evey year and i was looking for something studier but not too heavy. This case is very light weight for a wooden case, thinner than other cases (I had a bobelock before...too thick and heavy!!). The quality is great, everything fits perfectly and the seams are very strong and carefully put together. The interior is very luxurious and it comes in nice color combinations. I particularly like the leather handle. Also, this is the only case i've ever had where the hygrometer actually works accurately! The music pocket is about 1/2 the size of the case, but that's plenty for me. Might be an issue if you carry a lot of sheet music though, in that case go for the Elite model. It has 4 bow holders, 1 big storage pocket, string tube and velcro neck holder. The blanket is also attached with velcro so you won't loose it. There's a Humistat too.
The seller Cavallo violins has great customer service, they helped me decide which case to get and their shipping was very fast as well. Very satisfied!

This is a good, decent product, as advertised -- nothing fancy about it. It's a suspension case that comes with a hygrometer, humistat, string tube (wasn't in the advertisement), two bow holders, velcro neck restraint, blanket and accessory pocket inside the canvas outer music pocket. It's a lot lighter than my son's previous case, so that's a plus. I ordered the Bobelock's backpack style V-Strap separately, because I know my son would love it. It should have come with the case, though.

Desiring more rugged protection for my primary violin, I purchased this sturdy case.
There were several critical issues with this case.
1. This case was too narrow to accommodate either of my two (dimensionally typical) 4/4 "real" violins or my (somewhat slim) electric violin.
2. The bottom bow holder wasn't deep enough for a full sized bow (manufacturing defect?)
3. The "lining" of the case, while soft, was a shaggy substance, certain to capture rosin and eventually damage the violin's oil/varnish.
4. The top bow holder, while deep enough, exerted _sideways_ pressure on the bow (which will ruin a wood bow).

Actually told me that I must not play the violin but a viola.Couldn't believe my ears. Have been playing the vilin for over twenty five years. There was no sticker on the case so I believe they didn't have the correct size and took whatever they had left on the shelf. THEN it actually cost me more to ship it back. I would not recommend this to anyone.

(More customer reviews)The fit on the compartment cover is over-sized--if you really work it the cover will very tightly fit into the step it supposed to fit into.
I bought this case from Woodwinds and Brasswinds (WWBW). First case the D-ring pulled out of stitching only after 1-1/2 days--case is still usable if you carry it only by the handle but we purchased it so my daughter could wear it like a back pack or over the shoulder. WWBW sent a replacement free of charge. It arrived a week later and the bottom D-Ring which was already defective was thrown in loose in the box; the person at the warehouse shipped a defective case and knew it was defective!
I called customer service for a full refund. Still waiting to see when they will credit my account. Spend a little more on a better case!

(More customer reviews)I picked this violin case for my birthday. I was very excited about it, I LOVED the color from the looks of the picture. But when I finally got the much anticipated gift, it wasn't what it had looked like in the picture!
One of the things that attracted me to it was the pretty blue interior. I soon found that it wasn't that color at all, instead it was a DARK navy blue.
I was quite disappointed by the difference, but chose to keep it since I would have to pay more shipping. I ask that you PLEASE CHANGE THE PICTURE so that you will give much more satisfactory service.
