(More customer reviews)We received this flute within 7 - 10 days of ordering it. My daughter who is 10 loves it and we were very happy with the quality of the flute. One of the keys were not playing correctly after 7 months and I contacted them and they immediately responded back to me to send it to them. Once they received it, they fixed it immediately. Leo even called me to let me know it had been fixed and he was mailing it back to me. I would highly recommend this flute and any purchase from Hallelu Music. There is no doubt in my mind that I would recommend them to everyone I know.

(More customer reviews)Sounds good for a cheaply made violin. More bright though I would prefer a darker sound. I like how there is a volume knob on top of the violin. There's a Yamaha electric violin where the knob is on the bottom and is unreachable if you're in playing position. The mechanics work very well. It doesn't feed back. Not bad for the price. The case it comes with broke right away. It's absolutely a piece of junk as is the bow. I immediately changed the strings to Dominant strings which made it sound better.
If you need an electric violin and don't have the money to get a good one, this violin gets the job done. Not the best, but what do you expect for the price?

Every thing done according to specifications and iam fully satisfied with this violin. Its an excellent instrument for this price range. Only thing i dont like is the bow supplied with the vilon. Its not made of wood and hence jerks.It would have been nice if they included a wooden bow instead of this fibre one.

But they misunderstood my permission to the new and still made me wait for the wood bow. It finally got delivered and it was "cracked". Sent an email and pics of the "cracked bow". No one replied. I was not happy with all of this.. I sent them again another email and i will see if they will reply this time. I paid extra for fast delivery and still have wait and now a cracked wood bow. When can I play this violin? Never?

It also seems to stay tuned much longer than our previous one, almost from lesson to lesson (about a week). (More customer reviews)We purchased this violin for our 3-year-old daughter. She is now 4. She is doing well with this violin. The stings were replaced with Thomastik Dominant Violin Strings. This improved the sound quality nicely. Very pleased with the violin and would suggest this violin, yet the strings that come with the violin are not the best quality. Yet, lets be realistic. There is [almost] no violin in this price range, and this size that will come with anything but the least expensive strings. A little up grade on the strings and you will have a violin that you will be pleased with. The structure and construction of the violin is completed well. The finish is fine. The pegs, fingerboard, body, and wood quality are of good quality materials. The fine tuners work well. Very pleased for this price. Went to local brick and mortar music stores and they wanted about $500 - $600 for the same or similar instrument. I would suggest this violin and give it a positive review.

(More customer reviews)After unpacking, tuning, & playing this violin, I found all it needed was a set of quality strings! After changing the strings and re-tuning, the sound was fantastic! After the break-in period for the new strings, I suspect it will sound even better! This violin is pleasing to the eye, well-made, nice finish. The inside of the violin states it is made in Romania with european wood. It is a copy of a Stradivarius. It does have a solid maple back and sides, the back is not highly flamed, which I expected for the price, but who looks at the back of the violin while you are playing??? It was easy to tune and after playing for several minutes and re-tuning, it seems to be staying in tune. This violin is above-average for the price, very nice! I don't like the thermoplastic case, but I can live with it, the violin itself is worth it! Also worth mentioning, is the case has a special place for a shoulder rest. If you order this violin, pick up some rosin somewhere, because they don't send you any - again, no big deal. Why waste your money on a cheap "Made in Ch___" violin from a music shop, when you can spend an extra $50.00 and have a really nice violin? I will recommend to my students! THANK YOU AMAZON!

Unfortunately the first day the instructor took the bow and turned the tension knob the bow broke. Unfortunately it was day 31 and Amazon.com has no way to contact them to discuss the defective merchandise. I am officially done with Amazon.com. I would have thought that a $200.00 violin would have been constructed better. I now have to go and search for a new bow. Violin came without any manufacturer details so can not make any contact to discuss any possible warranty info.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the SV-150 Premier Student Violin 1/10-size for my 3.5 year old as her first violin. We just got it today and tuned it and I did a little playing (as much as I could since my hands are way too big for it). I was impressed with the sound from such a small instrument. I showed her how to hold the violin and bow and it is the perfect size for her (her neck to palm was approximately 15 inches). She is excited that it looks as pretty and *real* as my much more expensive full size violin. When putting rosin on the new bow I had to use my "broken in" rosin to really get it coated properly instead of the new rosin included.
If my daughter keeps up an interest in playing we will purchase the same violin in the next size up.

Stentor 1542 4/4 Violin Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this violin for my wife for Christmas as she has been wanting to learn the violin for years. Its hard to find fair reviews online but after some digging I was relatively confident in my purchase.
Overall I have to say this is a great value purchase for a mid-level violin for an adult to start on. Critiques below.
Sound - According to the instructor the violin has very good tone for its price range. He actually complemented the body, but said the strings are relatively poor and should be replaced. I imagine cheap strings are typical similar to low-mid guitars and you should always invest in the more expensive ones to maximize value.
Pegs - Never touching a violin before, I had problems with the pegs. You have to really jam them in there and twist to get them to set. They work, but it would be nice if they had a little more grip on them.
Case - The case is very good, hard molded and protects the violin effectively. This likely eliminates 99% of shipping damage that can occur with mailing this kind of equipment around. Case also has a humidity sensor, a cubby for accessories, and a locking hanger to secure the bow.
Bow - The bow works very well, no complaints.

To my surprise my parents picked this up for me. I attempted to tune it and the high e string broke. Not surprising. As a rule, ALWAYS put new string on an instrument right away. The strings it came with were old and low quality. Also be sure to clean the instrument. I was disturbed by the amount of filth that came off the finger board. When i was done with setting it up and such, the instrument i was left with was astounding. The sound and depth is very nice, and the finish is stunning. I'm very happy with it. The case is nice, but it did need to be cleaned. the bows are passable, the rosin..... buy new rosin.
