Prior to graduating to a full-size, my violinist son's 3/4 size violin had a nasty and ugly gouges all over the C, wounds received from his bow. When we recently purchased a beautiful full-size violin that is 204 years old, I luckily ran into Hilary Hahn's holiday gift recommendation in Strings magazine where she mentioned this product. It seemed a perfect solution to protecting the new violin -- and so it turned out upon receiving it yesterday! But there was no mention anywhere of the product for viola, so I was curious how the C-Clip for full-size violin would fit my other son's 14" viola. It wasn't as perfect a fit for the viola as it did the violin but approximate enough to be quite effective, so I quickly ordered the last one in stock!
My viola son is graduating to a 15" viola over this Christmas season, and I'll update on how it fits the 15" size.
