The Strad Pad is a soft latex pad which fits over the chinrest and curves down around to the back of the instrument. The deluxe model is slightly larger. Both models are excellent for protecting the neck and chin from the pressure of the violin/viola.

(More customer reviews)After a while, the soft velvety look will eventually wear down so don't be decieved. After practicing, I've found that the Chin Chum would develop a rash worse than what I would get without it. :(
I would recommend a "Strad-Pad" over this. Thicker...lasts longer...works better...
