I am learning to make native style flutes and bought this tuner to help with tuning the flute. I find it very useful and have now made many flutes. The tuning process requires that you drill a small finger hole and then widen it until you get to the note you are looking for. The difficulty of doing this with wood of different thicknesses and densities means you will end up any particular hole a bit flat or sharp in the process of getting all holes playing together. This tuner does a good job of showing just how flat or sharp I am and I can make judgment call based on that. I am very pleased with this tool.
