(More customer reviews)I have come across a number of these, working in a music shop. These violin kits are of inferior quality. The cheap wood bows are often warped, the fingerboard and nut are made of inexpensive wood (instead of ebony) that will wear easily, and cases of this quality seldom last the school year. Making the instrument and bow playable would cost as much as the kit. Save time and money, look at rentals at a local music shop. If you really want to purchase a violin, invest the extra money now on a better quality instrument; you will save money later on repair costs.
