(More customer reviews)Bought this for my 9 year old to use. It fits the violin well and seems very stable. It is hard, however, for him to put it on himself. It really takes some effort to pull the feet around the edge of the violin. Perhaps it will get easier with time and use, but it is not as nice as the Kun we were replacing. If I did it again, I would buy another Kun.

The Muco SR3VN is an excellent budget priced shoulder rest for a 3/4 size violin, especially for beginners. This is for a ½ size violin as well as a ¾. It should have two sets of holes to mount the legs in. The inner ones are for ½ and the outer are for ¾. The entire shoulder rest should be approximately 7 ¾.Durable synthetic frame with dense foam padding for superior somfort and support. Synthetic feet grip securely and are easily adjusted for a propper fit.

(More customer reviews)This shoulder rest has a brilliant design which allows it to be used on any size violin. That's why I bought it for my new electric violin which has a odd sized bout. The pad is always just where you need it. Sturdy little thing. In reference to another reviewer, a shoulder rest is not actually made to be "comfortable" in the sense of being very well padded. Some violinists rest the bare violin on their shoulder. A shoulder rest provides a comfortable height for the chin to rest at and allows the back of the violin to resonate more. Nice product. I've used Kun and Resonans but I like this one the best.
