It's my first and only amp. I play violin and it works fine on my electric violin. It's not big, packs enough power for practice without head phones, or to let others hear what you are playing. Price for the amp was good, but ouch, the shipping costs.
The unit looks good, is small and easy to carry. I haven't tried hooking a CD palyer into it yet. I can turn it up loud enough for it to be heard outside (through the walls). I have no idea how it would work on a guitar. My electric violin has a preamp, with a piezo pickup.
It may not work much better than the cheaper Danelectric, but it does look nicer.
