(More customer reviews)I bought this violin thinking it would be great to take on the streets and play and not have to worry about it getting stolen because it was cheap. I was wrong. I got the violin in about 5 days standard shipping time, but as soon as I opened the case I noticed the flaws. The neck is poorly painted and has built up paint runs at its top, plus the back side is just plain wood and is not very smooth. The tuning pegs never, ever stay in tune even after a light sanding to rough them up a bit they still slip out of tune. The bridge also, is definitely the worst part of this violin as it is not even sanded to the right angles to sit where it is supposed to go (yes I put it in the right spot). The bridge constantly pops out of place with a loud snap when tuning and during play! The rosin shipped with this violin is so cheap I nearly had to rub it on the bow for a half hour to get any to stick! Overall this violin just feels cheap in your hands and feels as though the whole thing will just snap at any moment. When I did get the bridge to stick, the pegs to stay, the rosin to stick, it sounded terrible at best. If you plan on buying this violin, DON'T. I have played violin for over 4 years and I recognize cheap quality, but you get what you get for $50 bucks right? I would save your money and go with something around $300.00 or more, it is well worth it, for sound, for feel, for quality, and for life.
